General information

This data protection notice is intended to inform the users of this website of the type, scope and purpose of collection and use of personal data by the website operator Mathias Jäniche.

The website operator takes protection of your data very seriously and handles your personal data confidentially and in compliance with statutory regulations. Since changes may be made to this data protection notice due to new technologies and the ongoing further development of this website, we recommend you re-read the notice at regular intervals.

The definitions of the terms used (such as “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in article 4 of the GDPR.

Access data

We, the website operator and site provider, collect data relating to users accessing the website and store these as “server logfiles” on the website server, pursuant to our legitimate interest (see art. 6, para. 1(f), GDPR). The following data are recorded in this way:

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Volume of data sent in bytes
  • Source/link via which you accessed the site
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

The server logfiles are stored for a maximum of seven days and subsequently deleted. Data storage takes place for security reasons, for example so that any incidents of abuse can be resolved. If data have to be recorded for evidence, these will be exempt from deletion until the incident has been conclusively resolved.

Range measurement and cookies

This website uses cookies for pseudonymised range measurement, so these are transferred to the user’s browser either by our server or by a third-party server. Cookies are small files that are stored on your end device, and your browser accesses these files. Use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website.

If you don’t want cookies to be stored on your end device for the purposes of range measurement, then you can object to the use of these files here:

Commonly used browsers also offer the option of blocking cookies in the settings. Please note: If you adjust the corresponding settings, we cannot guarantee that you will then be able to access all the functions of this website without limitation.

Recording and processing of personal data

The website operator will only record, use and pass on your data where this is legally permitted or where you have consented to recording of your data.

“Personal data” refers to all the information that serves to determine you as an individual and which can be traced back to you – so, for example, your name, your e-mail address and your telephone number.

You can also visit this website without providing any details about yourself. To improve our online offering, however, we do store your access data (with no reference to you as an individual) on this website. This access data includes, for example, the file you have requested or the name of your internet provider. Anonymisation of the data mean it is not possible to link them to you as an individual.

Handling of contact details

If you get in contact with us by means of the contact options offered, your details will be stored so that they can be referred to during the processing and answering of your enquiry. These data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

Handling of comments and contributions

If you contribute to or comment on something on this website, your IP address will be saved. This takes place for the purposes of our legitimate interest, in accordance with art. 6, para. 1(f) GDPR, and serves to ensure our security as a website operator, since any comments that violate applicable law can result in our being prosecuted, in which case we will have a legitimate interest in knowing the identity of the person making the comment or contribution.

Google Analytics

In light of our legitimate interest in optimising and analysing our online offering, pursuant to art. 6, para. 6(f) GDPR, this website uses the service “Google Analytics”, provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The service (Google Analytics) makes use of “cookies” – text files that are stored on your end device. The information gathered by the cookies is generally sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google LLC holds the European data protection rights and is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

IP anonymisation takes place on this website. The user’s IP address is abbreviated within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other signatory states of the agreement. Only in specific cases is the IP address sent unabbreviated to a Google server in the USA and then abbreviated there. This abbreviation prevents your IP address being traced back to you as an individual. The user’s IP address transferred by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.

As part of the data processing agreement that we as a website operator have concluded with Google Inc., the latter uses the information gathered to evaluate website use and website activity and provide services associated with internet use.

The data gathered by Google on our behalf are used to evaluate the usage of our online offering by the individual users, e.g. in order to produce reports about activity on the website, so that we can improve our online offering.

You have the option of preventing storage of cookies on your device by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. If you block cookies on your browser, we cannot guarantee that you will then be able to access all the functions of this website without limitation.

Furthermore , you can use a browser plugin to prevent the information gathered by the cookies (including your IP address) being sent to Google Inc. and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the corresponding plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, you can prevent Google Analytics from gathering data relating to you via this website by clicking on this link Verbiete Google Analytics, mich zu verfolgen . By clicking on the above link, you will download an “opt-out cookie”. Your browser will therefore need to be enabled to store cookies in order to do this. If you regularly delete your cookies, then you will need to click on the link each time you visit this website.
